Scope of the Position
Ensure that the amusement and attractions are maintained in excellent condition to avoid all risks pertaining to any minor or major accidents. And ensure the technical team carries out preventative maintenance, maximizes revenue and conducts regular site inspections, liaises with all suppliers and manages the spare parts inventory, and monitors daily operations.
Summary of Key Functions
- Managing the Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repair (through constant testing and servicing) for all Amusement Services Equipment in Fun City and other centers if required.
- Coordinate with the admin department and Liaise with Custom Officials on import and the delivery of attractions/machines to the center; Site and install new equipment to include making necessary adaptations for swipe card / token acceptance; Ensure that all attractions/machines meet the required safety standards before customer use;
- Maintain the amusement equipment to optimum standards through constant testing and regular servicing; Strive to adhere to the restraints of the budget;
- To monitor machine performance on a regular basis and make appropriate hangs to position and settings to ensure maximum earning potential;
- To train the operations staff in the correct operational use of machines, paying particular attention to safety for both the customer and the employee;
- To monitor the use of spare parts and ensure that an adequate amount of spares, are available to maintain optimum machine performance;
- To investigate any discrepancies in the weekly machine income reports and liaise with the operations team on any unexplainable variances;
- To train the technical staff to adequate standards and constantly monitor their performance; Offering ongoing training and support; To introduce and maintain, daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment;
- To instigate and maintain an adequate roster that also ensures sufficient technical cover during peak times;
- To instigate and maintain links with outside organizations and agencies;
- To liaise with machine supplier, where necessary, on fault diagnosis;
- Preparing Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly reports for Management Review
- To ensure that the center always has the recommended list of spares in stock;
- To perform regular periodic maintenance on Amusement Equipment as prescribed in the manual or by the supplier;
- To maintain a suitable workshop space within the Facility and ensure that tools and allied equipment are suitably inventoried, stored, and used appropriately;
- To ensure that the overall facility is safe and conducive for family entertainment;
- To patrol the FEC floor regularly and ensure that all equipment is working optimally and if any untoward event is noticed, the same is reported to the management immediately; to maintain a log for each and every piece of equipment and ensure that all service calls are logged in the respective equipment’s log book;
- To be aware of market trends and suggest the addition of new machines;
- To liaise with Operations Department on any promotions and offers, and advise on any technical implications;
- To prepare Periodical Technical reports for the review of the management;
- To create budgets for technical support for management approval and track all technical expenses against the allocated budget;
- Plan to minimize downtime of the equipment;
- Ensure 100% up time of assets at any point of time and minimum downtime of any asset in center at any point of time.
- To maintain service maintenance logs of all major rides included sensitive rides in software as well as in hard form.
- To ensure safety of ride for staff while operating and for customers while taking the rides.
- To do research and development on existing assets and new assets if needed to be added in center.
- To keep updated with latest trends of rides, games etc in FEC industry
- To maintain overall technical health check of center’s HVAC and VRF System and ensure to keep it running at optimum and economical level.
- To assist LM in any thing where technical support and implications are required in lieu and in connection with any departmental tasks.
- Any other task assigned by the senior management.
Qualifications
- Pre University Degree +/or A Certified Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Preferably at least 3 years’ experience in any indoor/ outdoor theme park. And; or; 5+ Years’ experience in Engineering related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on work experience in servicing Electronic Equipment or Mechanical Devices or both of which at least 3 years should be a supervisory position
Skill Required
Technical
- Experience in servicing Electronic Equipment or Mechanical Devices or both.
- Prior experience in Amusement Equipment, Rides, and Television Servicing is an advantage
General

- Should have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
- operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, electrical and mechanical instructions, and schematics.
- Proficiently speak, read, and write English and Urdu
- Should be computer literate with the ability to communicate with external vendors using email, the internet, etc.
- Good communication and Supervisory skills
- Should be innovative and thrive in a customer service-oriented environment.
- Reasonable skills in customer principles.
- A problem solver.
- A technical geek who love to solve technical mysteries to find out the fault out of complex faulty situation, circuits etc.
- Knowledge of First Aid with a certificate will also be an advantage
